            Hello my name is Debb, I have created a few pages to show you some pictures of my maine coon cats, Pommy Pumpkin, Princess Peach and Dolly Daydream. Hope you like them . . .           

             Maine coons are the largest breed of domestic cat. They get their name because of their origin, which is from Maine in the USA. The “coon” part of the name comes from the old folk tale that a domestic cat had mated with a raccoon! This is because of the breed’s big bushy ringed tail, similar to the racoon’s. This is of course a myth, as it would be impossible for the two species to mate. Maine Coons are very intelligent and are often referred to as the dog lovers cat!

             Pommy Pumpkin is my eldest, he was born on the 29th Oct ‘03 (don’t forget to send him a card!). Pommy is huge and weighs in at 24lb. His colour is red / silver mackerel tabby, I showed Pommy for a short time but he didn't like the show scene(much to his delight!) so now he just laughs at the girls while they have to be showered and blow dried for the shows . .   . . . he is such a gentle giant..

              Princess Peach behaves like her namesake..she thinks she is royalty(and we treat her like a princess). She was born on 1st Oct ’05. I showed Peach straight from the beginning and she quickly became a champion in the breed, Peach then had a spate of bad luck and became seriously ill with pyrothorax, she pulled through with excellent veterinary skills and lots of TLC, thank goodness.. she is now spoilt to pieces and I have started to show her again, this time as a neuter, she has one PC (premier certificate) to date, two to go to become a premier champion, watch this space!  (Update - As well as a

champion she’s also a premier now!)

             Dolly Daydream is the baby of the family and has the same parents as her older sister, Princess Peach. Her birthday is the 1st Dec ‘06 and she’s a little toe-rag - she is a very naughty tortie tabby!  She’s the same colour as her big sis and is very active and full of fun. She is adored by peach and Pommy and they spend hours chasing each other around. Dream managed to win 2 CC’s (challenge certificates) before I had to have her neutered, you have to win 3 to become a champion, so she just missed out on her championship, but I have just started to show her too as a neuter, I will update you on how she goes...

             All three are indoor cats and are great company and fun, they love having their photos taken, which are taken by my partner Chris..Enjoy!
